Michael V. Gervasi

Michael is the Litigation Partner at the Law Firm of Scamardella, Gervasi & Kasegrande, P.C. He joined the firm as an Associate following his gradation from New York Law School in 2002 and was made a partner in 2017. He is admitted to practice law in New York; New Jersey; the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, respectively; the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; and the United States Supreme Court. Michael handles commercial and business disputes, personal injury cases, wrongful death cases, contested business entity dissolutions, estate disputes, insurance coverage disputes, land disputes, and appeals.

From 2011 to 2017, he chaired the Staten Island South Shore YMCA’s Board of Managers and served on the Y’s island-wide Board of Directors. Michael remains an active supporter of the YMCA. In 2018, he was elected to the Richmond County Bar Association’s Executive Committee as Secretary, having previously served as a Director. He currently serves as Richmond County Bar Association’s President. Michael also participates as an attorney-arbitrator in the Attorney Fee Dispute Resolution Program, and co-authored articles for the Bar Association’s Journal, and is a trained mediator.

Michael enjoys serving as the New Dorp High School Law Program’s Attorney Advisor where he contributes to law classes and assists in preparing students for citywide competitions. Michael is also certified by the United States Soccer Federation as an Emeritus Regional Referee; a Reginal Referee Instructor; and the Area Coordinator of Referee Instruction for Staten Island, and is a currently serving as President of the Staten Island Soccer Referee Association.

Michael resides in Eltingville, Staten Island, with his wife, Carole, and their three daughters Alyssa, Giulia, and Serena.
